Camillo Berneri

Camillo Berneri Camillo Berneri (also known as Camillo da Lodi; 1897–1937) was an Italian anarchist known for his opposition to fascism and his participation in the Spanish Civil War. Born in Lodi, Italy, Berneri became politically active in his youth. He helped create the Italian Anarchist Communist Union and wrote for anarchist periodicals. Forced into exile during the rise of Fascist Italy, he settled in France and faced repeated police harassment for his continued political activities. With the 1936 Spanish Revolution, he joined the international anti-fascists in the CNT-FAI. Provided by Wikipedia
