The International Confederation of Free Trade Unions has sent a delegation to West and Equatorial Africa for surveying labor problems in French, British, and Belgian territories. In Douala the ICFTU organised the first pan-African trade union conference where African and local European workers' representatives drafted a program for strengthening the free labor movement in the colonial territories. Members of the delegations are shown here discussing the preparation of the Douala conference in the headquarters of the French Union Force Ouvrière.
