| Sumari: | Zwart-witfoto van een politiek gevangene, die levend werd verbrand door de Nazi SS troepen tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog, in Duitsland. Opschrift achteraan: "This Photo shows: Nazi SS Troopes burn prisoners to death. This man was burned to death by Nazi SS troopers. He is shown as he died, struggling to escape a horrible torture. He is one of a (sic) least 150 Russian, French, Polish and Jewish political prisoners who were herded into a huge barn near Gardelegen, Germany, and forced to sit down on gasoline-soaked straw. The straw was set afire and the door locked. The atrocity was exposed when Ninth U.S. Army troops captured the Gardelegen area before the german had time to remove the evidence, Gardelegen, 75 miles west of Berlin, was taken April 15, 1945." |
